It was my brothers birthday yesterday and I've had an Enzo Trapper blade sitting around for a while, so I decided to put a handle on it and gift it to my brother. Then after finishing it up, I had to whip up a sheath for it too. Cause every good knife needs a sheath right? He loved it and I love it too, kinda wanted to keep it...

Large Black Forest Field Bag (Part One)
This is a large adaptation of the Black Forest Field Bag that I am making for a forum member on BushcraftUSA.com. It is substantially larger in order to carry a cook kit, Bible, sketch books, pens, etc... I attached webbing onto the right side for adding a bottle holder or other gear and some military grade D-rings onto the bottom corners for lashing tarps, blankets, etc.(as per request of Old Man). I also added a piece of rawhide to the bottom for a little extra wear protection and a pocket on the left hand side for more gear. Now to get busy on the lid and straps..

Bahco Laplander Leather Sheath
My next project was to make a simple sheath for my trusty Bahco Laplander folding saw. Came out pretty decent, wet-formed nicely! I added a line 24 snap on the belt loop, so I can attach it to packs or my Turley sheath.

Black Forest Field Bag
I am officially hooked on homemade gear now! To the point where I went out and bought myself a sewing machine..Now I have just been dreaming up different stuff to make and here is the first project.
I love bags of all kinds, so naturally I had to whip up a little bag for my first creation. I call it the Black Forest Field Bag. It is kind of a mix between a haversack and a messenger bag, made from black 15 oz. canvas. It's got a main compartment with slots for pens, tool, etc., a separate sleeve in the back for ipad, journal, etc.. and a zip pocket in the front. It's also got some molle webbing for adding extra gear to the outside of the bag, solid brass hardware, heavy duty nylon strapping and a strip of velcro in the front for patch display.

Front zipper pocket is perfect for a wallet and whatever else you want to have extra secure. |
Here's the back panel with pen and tool slots. |
Also made a journal satchel, with pen and harmonica storage |
This shows the back sleeve, with a flap cover to protect from dust. |

Leather Sheath for Mora Classic #1
My second knife sheath is for the classic Mora line and fits the number one and two. It is the same style as my Dogwood sheath and can be carried regular on the belt or with the detachable dangler.

Leather Tool Pouch Attachment
Instead of just going with the traditional fire-steel loop on my sheath, I wanted to add a modular tool pouch that could also be worn separately on the belt. I also wanted a spot for my Fallkniven DC4 sharpener, that was separate from the main compartment. Utilizing the scout straps for attachment, here is what I came up with.
Here is the pouch with sharpener, fire kit and Leatherman |

All filled up! |
Here it's loaded with a Swiss Army Cadet and fire kit |

Dangler Attachment- Turley Dogwood Sheath
The last finishing touch on my Dogwood sheath was a dangler attachment. Now it can be worn regular on the belt, dangler style, or scout style with the straps. Here is the finished product with some extra shots of the Turley Dogwood.
